COVID19 – what works

Slightly off topic, and also somewhat self-serving. This is a collection of what I have found from reasonably reliable sources that may be useful for preventing and/or treating COVID19. The level of “evidence” may or may not be “gold standard”, and the resources are from both a mainstream medical perspective as well as what may be considered non-conventional. Being listed here is not an endorsement unless explicitly stated to be so. It is not medical advice and should not be construed or considered as such – but if you or your loved one has COVID19 you can take this information to your healthcare provider and discuss with them what elements to employ in maintaining or returning to good health.

“Prevention” (in air quotes because this is such a loaded word, risk-reduction might be more accurate):

Here is an 18 minute video from MedCram: in it a physician who has been treating COVID19 patients describes what he has been doing to stay healthy.

Treatment options: Several physicians have made available what they have been doing that has been working for them – here is a list of what I’ve found:

https://covid19criticalcare.com/

They also have a Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/FrontlineCovid19CriticalCare/

This page has resources and interviews with Dr Zelenko who also has a treatment protocol:

Here is a link to Dr Brownstein’s just published study (includes the protocol that he has been successfully using):

Orthomolecular use of Vit C for COVID19:

Chris Masterjohn, PhD has published (and regularly updates) a food and supplement guide for COVID. I encourage you to purchase it as the price is very reasonable ($10) and I am impressed with his review of current literature. He doesn’t make wild-eyed claims.

Dr Malcom Kendrick is a great one to follow. He’s a Brit who writes on medicine in general, not COVID in particular, though he has some COVID posts as well. Don’t bother if you are looking for mainstream mess or panic porn.

Dr Richard Bartlett interviewed (30 min) about his use of an inhaled steroid, Budesonide:

Apparently this ICS (Inhaled Cortico-Steroid) has been in use for many years and not expensive, available as a generic. He nebulizes it.

Not yet peer-reviewed study (and the type of study is not randomized double-blind placebo controlled, but rather a case-control study):

Basically describes the use of Vit D, Magnesium, and B12 supplementation on a series of patients and the outcomes observed.
